A Word From One of the Creators
From the desk of Eric Ratcliffe
So a little background on this arc to start off with: this was originally going to directly follow up the last Thanos appearance. It’s exactly where Eric was off to during that arc. I figured it would be fun to send him someplace to play off of people he hadn’t yet played off of. Plus? Are you really going to say no to a snowball fight with Iceman?!
That being said, Wolverine and the X-Men is easily one of my favorite books on the stands today. This and Uncanny X-Force were natural sequels to a lot of what Morrison and Whedon had established through New X-Men and Astonishing X-Men. The supporting cast is amazing (seriously, look at Kid Krakoa there based heavily on the version from the actual comic) and the art is beautiful. I really can’t say enough positive things about the book or writer Jason Aaron in general.
Oh, and for those asking as I know it’s a question some will have, that’s Heat Wave’s gun in Eric’s hands. Yes, Heat Wave, the Flash rogue. Sometimes if you’re a non powered guy you need to bring a heat gun to a snow fight. Don’t question it!
Next week we’ll be back to twice a week. A few hiccups happened thanks to the holidays, but they’re fixed now.
Wednesday…things “heat” up as Iceman calls in a referee as Eric surprises him! Find out who it is in just a few days!
