So when you’re stuck in the hospital for a few days you tend to get into your own head a lot. (Yes, depending on when you’re reading the commentary I am in the hospital. I’m fighting off a nasty infection on my foot which has also caused the most pain I’ve ever had in my life) But yeah, being alone in a hospital room for some time makes self reflection come pretty easily. Family is pretty important to me; everyone I’ve worked with on New Comic Day falls under that definition to me.
In fact, just the other night Jim was keeping me company digitally as we worked out this very first part of the Halloween arc, which I think people should enjoy. I mean, if you really want an expert in the world of horror, you go to a fan. That’s exactly what I am, I love horror movies. The B-movie stuff has always been my favorite and I do gear more towards the slashers or the ones starring the average Joe hero.
This arc has 2 more pieces to it and I am very excited for you guys to see them. Jim, Brant and Alyssa are all knocking it out of the park and I’m really excited for you guys to hear our big announcement as I think many will be surprised about it!
Oh, and how can you not love that fourth panel with 2 of the biggest cult horror heroes of all time? Jack Burton and Ashley J. Williams for the win from Big Trouble in Little China and Evil Dead/Army of Darkness!
