Eric’s commentary will be added soon. He just got back from the insanity that is New York Comic Con, so he’s kind of beat. I know he has some things to say about this particular strip as it’s a play on a real conversation. And it does kind of sum up why the Punisher doesn’t work on the Avengers. Well, in everyone’s mind except Jeff’s apparently.

As for the strip itself, it was Alyssa’s choice to leave the Civil War panel black and white. It’s a nice contrast to the rest of the strip, and it pops out the scene while still conserving the tone of NCD by showing it in black and white. I added just a touch of color to the SFX to make that significant as well.

On a site note, while we do have plans for a bit of a revamp a short ways down the line, you may notice the slight change where the sidebar is below the strip now opposite the commentary (look to your right, go ahead).  We did that to accommodate last week’s strip, which was in a different layout and so I opted to keep it that way for now.

Anyway, I’m in the process of moving, editing a podcast and working simultaneously. So I’ll leave you with this until Eric returns with his own commentary.

I kind of dropped last night from a combination of exhaustion and pain. (screwed up my foot while at NYCC) So thanks to Brant for covering me.

The show was good, no real complaints other than moments of overcrowdedness. Saw plenty of friends and Jim and I discovered a resturaunt called “Burgers and Cupcakes” that we enjoyed pretty heavily. It was fun hanging out with Jim for the first time and we did have a little brainstorming summit that you’ll be seeing coming to fruition very soon.

Highlights of the show were seeing everyone from Tim Seeley to Janet K Lee/Jim McCann and Claudio and Chondra Sanchez, these are the kinds of people that make my NYCC awesome every year.

This week’s strip… I’m not sure if Jeff believes this 100 percent or not but we’ve actually had a conversation very similar to this. So I wrote up the strip and Jim did that amazing third panel. Though I think my caption box from panel #3 was accidentally missed but we don’t really need it. [Added Now! - Backsteppin' Brant!]

Anyways, I have a podcast to go edit, some more sleep to catch up on and hopefully the con crud goes away. And of course hopefully a doctor’s appointment to get rid of whatever is going on with my foot!
